The following assignments below are tangible evidence of how I have completed the assigned BSN learning objectives during my two years in nursing school. Through these learning objectives, I have conducted research, collaborated with others on group projects, and practiced hands-on skills. By completing these various tasks, I feel prepared to begin my career as a registered nurse.

Course Objective 1:
Provide patient-centered care/with sensitivity & respect for the diversity of
human experience.
QSEN #2- Person-Centered Care and #3-Population Health
With this assignment, I was able to interview a geriatric patient and learn about how their lifestyle is impacted by their health conditions. They must live their life differently from someone that is younger and it is important we consider these natural changes in our care practices.
Course Objective 2:
Utilize inter- and extraprofessional collaboration skills/to provide holistic
nursing care.
QSEN #6-Interprofessional Partnerships and #9-Professionalism
The attached document is a summary of the research I found about complementary therapies for patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Through this assignment, I was able to gain a better understanding of how to treat patients holistically because modern-day medicine is not the only option and its effectiveness can be increased with the use of other measures.
Course Objective 3:
Integrate best current evidence with clinical expertise.
QSEN #1-Knowledge for Nursing Practice and #4-Scholarship for the Nursing Discipline
Nurse turnover rates are an increasing concern in today's healthcare industry. This paper provides a brief summary of interventions that can be implemented in the workplace to decrease staff stress and reduce the possibility of staff leaving the workplace/profession.
Course Objective 4:
Create a safe care environment that results in high quality patient outcomes.
QSEN #5-Quality and Safety
With this leadership project, my classmates and I explored the effects of nursing shortages on patient care. We discovered that with the increased nurse-to-patient ratio, there was an increase in errors made. The most common error is with medications. We researched interventions that hospitals can implement to decrease nurse turnover rates.

QSEN #8-Informatics and Healthcare
Technologies
After the COVID-19 pandemic, the use of telehealth increased across the globe. My research on the use of such software explores their pros, cons, and ways to improve. I completed this learning objective with this project for my nursing informatics course, alongside our weekly discussion posts.
Course Objective 6:
Utilize critical thinking/to provide care for individuals & communities.
QSEN # 1-Knowledge of Nursing Practice and #2 Person-Centered Care
As a part of my community health course, I was fortunate to attend the Center for Domestic Preparedness and receive training on mass casualty incidents. By attending this three-day training session I was able to practice and improve my critical thinking skills. The attached document is a reflection of what I learned during my stay and how it applied to this specific class's learning objectives.
Course Objective 7:
Analyze the effects of healthcare policy/on the quality & safety in the
practice environment.
QSEN #5-Quality and Safety, # 7-Systems-Based Practice,
and # 9-Professionalism
I was able to accomplish this objective by reviewing Georgia legislation on healthcare. The particular legislation I reviewed was about a loan forgiveness and grant program granted to healthcare professionals who worked in rural areas. This legislation is a great way to work on improving health disparities.

Assume responsibility for personal & professional behaviors.
QSEN # 9-Professionalism and #10-Personal, Professional, and Leadership Development
As a part of our clinical rotations, we complete evaluations on ourselves and by our preceptor. The attached document is my senior practicum evaluation completed at my midterm mark. It reflects on my skills and behaviors in the workplace.

and nursing science in providing nursing care in a global society.
QSEN #1- Knowledge for Nursing Practice
In my leadership course, we had to write a paper about an ethical dilemma we have witnessed in a clinical setting. The main objective was to act as the nurse manager and create a solution. The following document discusses how I saw an undocumented citizen be denied access to an assisted living facility and the steps I would have taken. With this assignment, I had to utilize more than just nursing logic to create an effective plan. This is an increasing problem in our nation and could possibly be applied to other nations.
